Christopher Armfeld: probate 3rd June 1594

In the name of god. Amen, the 16th day of October in the yeare of our lorde god 1593. I Christopher Armfeelde of the Brodhurst in the parishe of Glossopp within the county of Derby beinge sicke in body but of good and perfect remembrance thanks be to god consideringe that nothinge is more certen then death, and nothinge more uncertayne then the houre of death Intende with gods grace not to depart from this worlde intestate Doe constitute and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge. first I bequeath my soule to almighty god my maker, and my body to be buryed within the church porch of Glossopp. Item I give to Anne my wife and Elizabeth my daughter all my goods moveable and unmoveable equally to be devyded betwixt them. Item I give to Anne my wife and Elizabeth my daughter the assigment of my lease for longe as Anne my wife and John Armfeelde doe live. And if the sayde John Armfeelde doe over live them, he to have it. Item my will is that I be brought forth of my whole goods. Item I make Anne my wife and Thomas Stafforde my executours of this my will to be observed, and Raphe Armfeelde and James Bowdon my supervisours. Item I give to Robert Armfeelde the best yew Lambe at mydsommer, and to John Armfeelde his brother the best yew lambe next to it.
